We're back with another edition of our Blind Date series. This time, we sent Sunni and Brian on a date night under the lights at a Charlotte Knights game.
Ready to meet your match this year? Apply here for an upcoming date and send the application to your single friends. It's super easy!
First, let's get to know Sunni
She's 36 and the founder of The Queen's Society, a Charlotte-based group helping women meet and make friends.
- You might also recognize her from Charlotte's season of "Love is Blind."
Her perfect day in Charlotte would have a morning walk and coffee, a vendor market, live music, a cocktail at Blue Door, a dance class and dinner on the lake.
What she's saying: I'm a creative, half-Indian entrepreneur with deep family roots, a love for community, and a personality that's as outgoing as it is genuine.
She's looking for: Someone she can literally and emotionally look up to. "We love a tall man."
- Ideally, they're also successful, handy, confident, emotionally grounded, and put family first, she adds.

Now, let's meet Brian
He's 34 and a real estate agent.
His perfect day in Charlotte? Outdoor music, a beer garden, park time, dinner at a nice restaurant and a nightcap at a rooftop bar.
Hobbies: Running, gym, yoga, guitar, DIY projects and hanging with his dog.
How he describes himself: Driven, but doesn't take life too seriously.
His ideal match: Fun to be around, with a great sense of humor.
- A good communicator who's easygoing and understanding.

I chatted with the two separately after their date to hear how it went.
Editor's note: Responses have been edited lightly for length and clarity.
How do you typically meet your dates?
Brian: Usually through mutual friends or apps.
Sunni: Ugh, dating in Charlotte is the worst! But when I end up going on dates, I usually meet them through Hinge, a night out or a bold little DM.
How would you describe the conversation?
Brian: The conversation was easy and flowed really well. She was super engaging and thoughtful.
- She's a super interesting person with an entrepreneurial spirit and I enjoyed talking with her.
Sunni: It started strong. We vibed over real estate and social media (two of my favorite things lately), and it flowed pretty easily throughout the night.
How would you describe the chemistry?
Brian: There was definitely a good vibe. She has great energy, and I felt comfortable and at ease pretty quickly.
Sunni: There were a couple moments, but it leaned more friendly for me.
- I think we're better off as pals.
Thoughts on the date overall?
Brian: It was just a genuinely enjoyable time.
- She's an awesome person — smart, grounded and fun to be around.
Sunni: He was kind and clearly interested, which I always appreciate — I hate having to wonder where a man's head's at.
- The pace just felt a little quick for me. I connect more when things unfold naturally and aren't rushed.
What's next? How did you leave things?
Brian: We wrapped things up on a positive note and said we'd touch base soon.
- I'd definitely be open to seeing her again and getting to know her better.
Sunni: Overall, we left on a friendly note. He's a great guy!
- Sometimes it's just not a match, and that's totally fine.
- I know I'm picky — maybe too picky, but I'm holding out for the right person.
- Hopefully, we both find what we're looking for soon.
