Georgia and Georgia Tech head to March Madness

• No. 9 seed Georgia tips off against no. 8 seed Gonzaga Thursday at 4:35pm EDT in Wichita, Kansas.
• No. 9 seed Georgia Tech plays no. 8 seed Richmond Friday at 7:30pm EDT in Los Angeles.

Zoom in: The Bulldogs' trip to the Big Dance marks a milestone for head coach Mike White, who's embarked on a mission to rebuild the men's program since taking the job in 2022.

• The women's Yellow Jackets have made 11 March Madness appearances in the program's 50-year history, and three under head coach Nell Fortner. The team has yet to make the Final Four, however.

What's next: State Farm Arena will host Sweet 16 and Elite 8 men's March Madness games.

• As of March 17, half-court lower-level seats are starting at $799 and run into the thousands, according to Ticketmaster.
