Walmart revealed more details about its second "Black Friday Deals" sale Monday that starts online on Nov. 25.
Why it matters: The world's largest retailer's sale is starting four days after Amazon launches its Black Friday sale Thursday, Nov. 21 — a week before Thanksgiving.
- Best Buy announced Monday that its Black Friday sale also begins Nov. 21.
- Target, Kohl's and Macy's are among the retailers starting their official Black Friday week specials on Nov. 24.
Walmart Black Friday 2024: Event 2 dates, store hours
The big picture: Deals for Walmart's Black Friday "event 2" begin Nov. 25 at noon ET for Walmart+ members and 5pm ET for all customers.
- The sale begins in stores Friday, Nov. 29 at 6am local time.
What they're saying: "This holiday season, we're elevating the shopping experience, making it even more convenient and personalized for our customers no matter when, where or how they choose to shop," Tom Ward, Walmart U.S. executive vice president and chief ecommerce officer, said in a statement.
Black Friday hours 2024: When Target, Macy's open
The intrigue: Target also is opening at 6am Black Friday along with Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's.
- Kohl's and JCPenney both open at 5am local time Nov. 29.
Walmart Black Friday deals
Zoom in: Walmart revealed 17 of its Black Friday deals in a news release Monday. They include toys, televisions, home goods and kids' character pajamas.
- Name brand products like Dyson, Michael Kors and Reebok were on Walmart's deal list.
Walmart+ membership $49 through Cyber Monday
What we're watching: Walmart said its paid membership program, Walmart+, is discounted for $49 now through Dec. 2.
- The regular price of an annual membership is $98 or $12.95 a month.
- Walmart+ includes free same-day delivery for orders of $35 or more, a Burger King discount and other benefits like free Paramount Plus and a gas discount.
Walmart Cyber Monday 2024 sale
Walmart's Cyber Monday deals start Sunday, Dec. 1 at 5pm ET for paid Walmart+ members and 8pm ET for all customers on Walmart.com and the app.
- Walmart shared eight of its "best Cyber Monday deals" in its announcement Monday.
What's next: The Cyber Monday sale ends at midnight Monday, Dec. 2.
Best Buy Black Friday 2024 plans
Best Buy's Black Friday sale starts Thursday, Nov. 21 but My Best Buy Plus and My Best Buy Total members get "access to doorbusters a day before they're live for all customers," the company said in a news release.
- Best Buy stores will be open 6am to 10pm local time Black Friday.
- The retailer said it will have "Flash Deals on Best Buy Drops" exclusively on the Best Buy app on Nov. 29 starting at 8am CT.
