Target holiday deals start in November with daily deals

• Walmart, the world's largest retailer, said on Monday that it will hold two Black Friday sales.

The big picture: The traditional holiday shopping season morphed during COVID, when more deals moved online and spread out consumer demand over longer periods of time.

• Target is promising several weeks of deals lasting through Christmas Eve.

Target Deal of the Day starts Friday

Zoom in: Target said it will have daily deals starting Nov. 1 and continuing through Dec. 24.

• The deals will be up to 50% off for members of its free Target Circle loyalty program.
• Weekly deals will launch every Sunday starting Nov. 3 and continue through the following Saturday. These deals continue through Black Friday, Target shared with Axios.

Target early Black Friday sale dates

State of play: Target said it will offer "thousands of hot new deals" from Nov. 7-9 as a new holiday deals event "for consumers who love the thrill of early Black Friday deal hunting."

• Target did not share specifics of its Black Friday sale but it previously announced that it will release two exclusive Taylor Swift items in stores starting on Black Friday, which is Nov. 29.

Target holiday price match guarantee

Target's holiday price match will be available Nov. 7 through Christmas Eve and pledges price adjustments "if an item's price goes lower at Target later in the season."

• Target says it will also match select competitors' pricing within 14 days of purchase.

Target Thanksgiving meal deal

Target's popular Thanksgiving meal is back but costs $5 less than last year, the retailer said Monday.

• The meal features a turkey, stuffing and five additional sides for $20. It serves four people.
• Target announced last week that it was cutting prices on more than 2,000 items throughout the holiday season, following price cuts on 8,000 items this year.
