Here's what's open on Tampa Bay beaches after Helene, Milton

• Local government and tourism officials have rolled out the "Still Shining" campaign to highlight parts of the region that are ready for visitors.

What they're saying: "It's going to be a staggered road," Tampa Bay Beaches Chamber of Commerce CEO Robin Miller tells Axios.

• "Every single day it's looking better and better."

State of play: While there are no countywide bans on beach access, per Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, local officials and volunteers are still in the process of cleaning up debris and returning washed-over sand to the shoreline. 

• Officials are also monitoring a plume of red tide off the coast, WUSF reported.

The latest: The city of Treasure Island announced that its beaches are open, with the exception of local favorite Sunset Beach, which is still undergoing sand removal. 

• Bathrooms are closed, parking is limited and visitors should wear shoes in case of debris, city officials said.
• Beach access also reopened at the Pinellas County Beach Access Park at 4700 Gulf Boulevard, per the city of St. Pete Beach.

• Fort De Soto, Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island state parks are closed, as are Sand Key Park and Pier 60 at Clearwater Beach. 

Meanwhile, beach bars, restaurants and hotels have started to welcome patrons again. 

• The Tampa Bay Beach Chamber has celebrated with miniature ribbon-cutting ceremonies, Miller said.
