With the new year comes an impressive lineup of restaurant and bar openings, from neighborhood gems to regional favorites expanding into San Antonio.
Why it matters: It's exciting to see the foodie momentum of 2024, underscored by Michelin and James Beard recognition, continue with new openings this year.
Here's our list of spots to keep an eye on in 2025:

Housed in a historic Five Points home, Las Perlitas will offer a vibrant mix of Latin American flavors, with dishes inspired by Mexico, Honduras and beyond. The space will also feature a bodega. Owners aim to open this month.

Chef Jason Dady is transforming The Shops at Rivercenter's food court into an immersive 21,000-square-foot destination. Expect unique concepts like Tres Arcos, Dos Cantinas, El Ultimo and Dulce Aroma. An opening date is still under wraps.
Beacon Hill's neighborhood wine bar opened Friday. It offers wine (of course), small bites and non-alcoholic beverages. On-site consumption is encouraged, and guests can bring in their own snacks, especially if they're from one of Copper Rose's fellow Beacon Hill small businesses.

The Houston-based restaurant group is bringing two of its signature concepts to Broadway, according to the Express-News. They are:
- Adair Kitchen (formerly Jim's Restaurant)
- Los Tios Mexican Restaurant (taking over La Madeleine's old spot)
- Both locations are set for early 2025 openings, though dates are TBD.

The whimsical River North bar is heading north with its second location, complete with a Ferris wheel and greenhouse pavilion. Look for a grand opening in June.
Leah Meyer, who has Down Syndrome, founded the North Side shop with her family partly to employ people with disabilities and offer a welcoming space to all. The Meyers tell Axios the opening is slated for spring, pending permits.
This popular Conroe-based breakfast and brunch chain will debut at The Legacy shopping center in April, per Community Impact.
The bottom line: 2025 is shaping up to be a delicious year for San Antonio.
