Rivercenter's food court is getting a major Mexican makeover

Details: Mexico Ceaty will feature Tres Arcos, a full-service restaurant; Dos Cantinas, a 300-seat bar; El Ultimo, a speakeasy-style agave tasting room; and Dulce Aroma, a panaderia-inspired coffee shop.

• It will also have a marketplace where guests can shop artisan crafts and home goods.
• Food stands serving tacos, ceviche, drinks, aguas frescas and more will be set up throughout the area's main plaza.

Between the lines: This will be Dady's seventh San Antonio-area concept, following the recent opening of Roca & Martillo at The Rock.

Flashback: The mall opened in 1988, and the food court has not seen an overhaul of this magnitude since.

What they're saying: "We're excited to bring a variety of concepts to this space, with each element designed to offer an immersive experience. We have everything from paletas and churros to street tacos and wagyu fajitas across an abundance of both quick- and full-service outlets," Dady said in a statement.

What's next: Ashkenazy Acquisition Corporation, the investment group partnering with Dady on the project, hinted that more operators will be joining The Shops at Rivercenter soon.
