San Antonio chef concocts Taco Bell's next Crunchwrap Supreme

The latest: The new Crunchwrap Supremes will debut in New York City on Wednesday and Thursday as part of a test run to help the company decide on future availability.

Dig in: Hwa Dobbertin created the Crispy Thai Noodle Crunchwrap Supreme, which includes marinated grilled chicken in a khao soi aioli alongside a crunchy nest of wheat noodles.

• To add that Texas twist, it also features sour cream, onions, cilantro and avocado basil ranch.

Zoom out: Philadelphia chef Reuben Asaram is introducing the Indian Buffet Crunchwrap Supreme, and Phoenix chef Lawrence "LT" Smith made the Southwest Hot CHX Crunchwrap Supreme.

What they're saying: "Our collaboration with these leading chefs allows us to honor different culinary traditions while creating bold, new bites that are distinctly Taco Bell," global chief food innovation officer Liz Matthews said in a statement.
