Biggest Buc-ee's in the U.S. to open outside of San Antonio

Buc-ee's has a new behemoth to boast about and it's about an hour away, in Luling.

The latest: The Texas-based company of giant travel centers, known for squeaky clean restrooms and rows upon rows of gas pumps, is opening its largest yet in the town where it all started.

The grand opening is on June 10 at 6am.

Flashback: The flagship Buc-ee's travel center (the giant concept that made the brand famous) opened in Luling in 2003, but the first location actually opened in Clute in 1982 — albeit much smaller.

By the numbers: Travelers will find all the Beaver Nuggets, kolaches and jerky over 75,000 square feet at 10070 Interstate 10.

There will be 120 gas pumps.
It edges out the location in Tennessee, which opened in June 2023 and is 74,000 square feet.
Buc-ee's now operates a total of 50 stores across Texas and the South.

The bottom line: Everything is (still) bigger in Texas.
