Millennials are closing in on their Gen X counterparts when it comes to the share of Virginians getting Botox, according to data shared with Axios.
Why it matters: The youngest millennials are barely 30!
The big picture: The gap between the two generations is shrinking nationwide, as wrinkle-smoothing injections become nearly as common as hair salon visits.
By the numbers: Millennials make up 38% of Botox patients in the state — just two points shy of Gen Xers (the youngest of whom are in their mid-40s), per data from medical aesthetics firm Qsight.
Both are Botox-ing more than their age groups nationwide.
If you're looking to get in on the Botox action ... today is National Botox Day, which is apparently really a thing. In celebration some local Botox providers are offering deals, including:
A $50 gift card BOGO deal from Botox maker Allē Rewards' loyalty program, which works with nearly a dozen local providers.
$50 off appointments booked this week at The Aesthetic Era in the Fan.
