A new, NY-style pizza joint is celebrating its grand opening this weekend in Scott's Addition.
Why it matters: Pizzeria Mungo serves up pizza by the slice and affordable lunch specials.
Driving the news: Eric Mungo quietly opened the pizzeria on Arthur Ashe Boulevard last week in the former BigWife's Mac n' Cheese spot.
- On the menu: Whole pies, specialty pizzas like Calabrese sausage and honey or potato and bacon ($22-$28), salads and breadsticks ($6-$8).

- You can get a slice, salad and a drink for $10.99 weekdays from 11am-2pm.
- Or grab a slice and a drink for $6.99, or just a slice for $3.99 (it's a buck extra to get a specialty slice).
