Earlier this year, thousands of people waited in line for a viral food truck that popped up in Richmond.
Why it matters: That same food truck is now opening a location inside The Park.
State of play: In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the multi-entertainment venue near Scott's Addition announced that Flavor Hive is "coming soon" to its food hall.
- The Alexandria-based truck was co-founded by Shihan Chowdhury, who's TikTok famous for his recipes.
- But it became popular for its concept, where you: Bring your own bag of chips for staff to slice open and fill with Halal meat, toppings and sauces for $10.
Flashback: When the truck showed up to The Park in February, Flavor Hive told Axios they served 3,500 people, but estimated over 6,000 came.
- That's about 1,000 people showing up every hour.
What's next: Flavor Hive's new spot opens mid-November, a truck spokesperson told Axios.
- In the meantime, we're hoarding bags of chips.
