The Smoky Mug expands in Richmond's Northside

State of play: The Smoky Mug opened in 2020 at 15 E. Brookland Park Blvd. and moved earlier this month.

• Locals can still find coffee drinks, breakfast sandwiches and pastries in the mornings and Texas-style barbecue and a full bar for lunch and dinner Wednesdays-Sundays.

What's new: Ample indoor seating, including couches and funky chairs for lounging, a bar and a new patio for the smoker (with a second one on the way).

On the menu: Tex-Mex-style breakfast sandwiches, bowls and burritos ($3.75-$6.25), daily till noon.

• At lunch and dinner Wednesday-Sunday, there are tacos ($7-$11) BBQ sandwiches ($12-$14) and platters ($15-$19).
• And there's a late night menu starting at 9pm on weekends of chicken wings, street tacos and nachos.
• Beer, wine and cocktails are also available, and a happy hour is in effect from 4-7pm.

The bottom line: It's the same The Smoky Mug Richmonders know and love, but bigger and cooler.
