RVA restaurants shine in Southern Living list

Beaucoup and Cochiloco were named among the 20 best new restaurants in the South by Southern Living.
Why it matters: That means RVA took up 10% of the mag's best new restaurants list. Take that, James Beard.
State of play: The best 20 spots were picked by Southern Living editors who live and breathe southern restaurants, per the mag.
- On Beaucoup, the oyster bar from the folks behind Grisette and Jardin, the magazine staff shouted out the Fan District spot's Virginia seafood selection, cocktails and laid-back atmosphere.
- For Cochiloco, the Scott's Addition taqueria from the Hibachi Box and Y Tu Mama team, Southern Living loved the indoor-outdoor bar, tacos dorados and quesabirria tacos made with beef shortribs and homemade mole.
