More than half of their fans would rather see the Washington football team win the Super Bowl than find true love, per a new survey from Wetten.
Why it matters: That's significantly higher than the average — and for all the single Commanders fans out there, one seems more likely than the other at this point.
Zoom in: The sports betting website surveyed 2,000 NFL fans this month, and found that 48% would forgo true love for a Lombardi Trophy.
Women, who comprise half of NFL fans, are more likely (51%) than men (46%) to barter away their future romantic happiness for a championship parade, the survey found.
Ironically, the fans most desperate for a win (over love) goes to the Detroit Lions, who lost their chance at a Super Bowl this year after being wrecked by Washington in last week's divisional playoff round.
Yes, but: Washington's last Super Bowl win was in 1992, which means most of the fans cheering on the team in the game are now solidly in their AARP years.
