Strawberry and Oreo "sticks" at Brecotea's Midlo spot. Your friends will love you if you bring them to Friendsgiving. Photo: Sabrina Moreno/Axios
Sabrina here. I finally took Karri's advice (only took seven months) and tried Brecotea — an Asian bakery where the pastries are self-serve.
I went with my friend Anna B., who spotted these footlong dessert sticks that look like a hot dog's sweeter cousin. And they're under $4 each.
The Oreo one (my favorite because of the crunch) was bread filled with chocolate cream and topped with Oreos and powdered sugar.
Its strawberry counterpart is stuffed with strawberries and powdered sugar.
Fun fact: Joel Hansen, a YouTuber known for doing food challenges, went to Brecotea in Richmond in September to eat 18 hot dogs baked together in an oversized bun within 20 minutes to get the $70 meal for free.
