Crabtree lands a Brazilian steakhouse

Fogo de Chão, a Brazilian steakhouse chain, has signed a lease at Crabtree Valley Mall, according to the mall's owner Macerich.

Why it matters: Fogo de Chão is currently on an expansion spree across the U.S., and it plans to open its first location in Charlotte later this summer.

• It has also announced plans to open at the Streets at Southpoint in Durham.

Zoom in: It's the latest in a string of new tenants signed by Macerich since it bought Crabtree Valley Mall last year.

• Other new tenants include Five Guys, JD Sports, Level99, an escape room company and Pop Mart.
