Raleigh's East End Market names several new tenants, including new sushi spot

East End Market in Raleigh will add several new restaurants and fitness studios in the coming months.

Why it matters: The area around the intersection of Whitaker Mill Road and Atlantic Avenue continues to attract new retail and restaurant options, especially at the East End Market and Raleigh Iron Works developments.

Driving the news: The new tenants include:

🍣 Casa Nama, a new restaurant from the owners of the popular taqueria Chido Taco. The new restaurant, which will go in the former Giorgios Epicurean Market this fall, is inspired by Japanese culture and will serve sushi and Asian comfort food.
☕️ Songbird, an all-day bar that will service coffee and juices in the morning before transitioning to seasonable cocktails, wine, non-alcoholic drinks and small plates in the evening. Songbird will open in June.
🏋️‍♀️ BC Block, a fitness studio based out of Nashville will open a gym there early next year. The gym will take 7,500 square feet of space.
💪 The Daily Pilates, an Atlanta pilates studio will open its first Raleigh location at East End Market next month. Its studio will be 3,000 square feet.
