Raleigh Wide Open is returning this fall for three days of music in the streets, festival organizers announced yesterday.
Why it matters: Last year's event drew 155,000 people to N.C. State and downtown, according to its producer PineCone, the Piedmont Council of Traditional Music.
Zoom in: The festival is free again this year. It'll close down Fayetteville Street Oct. 1-3 for bluegrass, Americana and folk performances.
