A new rooftop restaurant now open in North Hills is serving 60 varieties of wine, not from the bottle, but on tap.
Why it matters: Execs of the aptly names Sixty Vines say tapping kegs of wine both preserves the flavor and cuts down on waste.
What they're saying: CEO Jeff Carcara says last night's opening began "an exciting new chapter" for the small chain, which has grown to over a dozen locations since being founded in Texas a decade ago.
"We believe wine should feel easy and approachable — we call it pinkies down," Carcara said in a press release, adding that they are prioritizing "seasonal ingredients, shared plates and a space that brings people together."
The vibe: There's a bright dining room on the ground floor, and an open-air rooftop bar and lounge above, which the restaurant says was "designed for cozy gatherings under the stars."
The menu includes hand-tossed pizzas, charcuterie boards, salads and a double Cabernet burger.
Our friends in Charlotte, which back in 2023 got North Carolina's only other Sixty Vines, recommend the pork chop.
