What's new at the 2026 WM Phoenix Open

Driving the news: The viewing area of the iconic 16th hole has been replaced with a new reusable four-story modular structure.

• It's similar in size to the previous viewing space but features wider interior bays, higher ceilings, new stairways and more distance between columns, which will improve sight lines and accessibility, according to organizers.

What they're saying: "The 2025 16th structure versus the 2026 16th structure and experience is going to be vastly different," tournament chair Jason Eisenberg told Cronkite News when construction began last year.

Zoom in: Other additions this year include:

• Pin Hi Club, a high-end hospitality venue for fans willing to cough up the $1,300-$1,700 entry fee;
• And a family center with nursing areas, diaper-changing stations and other kid-centered accommodations.

State of play: The Killers are kicking off the action Saturday night with the Concert in the Coliseum.

• Admission is free Monday and Tuesday to watch practice rounds.

• The celebrity Pro-Am tournament begins at 8:30am on Wednesday.
• The first round of the WM Phoenix Open tees off Thursday and the tournament concludes Sunday.

What we're watching: Seven former WM Phoenix Open champions, including Scottie Scheffler and Brooks Koepka will compete in this year's tournament.

• Pro-Am competitors include a long list of current and former NFL players, including Travis Kelce, Larry Fitzgerald, Emmitt Smith, Trey McBride, Budda Baker and Zaven Collins.
