Yelp crowns Phoenix's Novel Ice Cream best in U.S.

Artisan shop Novel Ice Cream takes the cake on Yelp's 2025 Best Ice Cream list — earning the No. 1 title for its cups, cones and donuts filled with cold and creamy goodness.

What they're saying: "Fans are happy to wait in line for the 'incredible,' 'everything-you-could-ask-for' signature item, the Dough Melt: any ice cream and any topping between two halves of a homemade glazed donut, pressed into a sandwich that's perfectly warm on the outside and miraculously cold on the inside," Yelp's list says of Novel Ice Cream.

How it works: To create its "all-time list of the Top 100 Ice Cream Spots," Yelp found businesses in the ice cream category, then ranked those using criteria such as total volume and ratings of reviews.
