3 buzzy new restaurants to open at Arizona Center

Driving the news: Pretty Decent Concepts — the brains behind Wren & Wolf, Chico Malo and buzzy new cocktail bar Carry On — is taking over the former Hooter's space to open two steak restaurants and a cocktail bar, per ABC 15.

• Cleaverman Steakhouse: A refined and modern twist on a classic steakhouse, this venture promises stiff drinks and tasty meats.
• Filthy: A swanky martini bar with live piano music accessed through an entry in the steakhouse's walk-in freezer.
• Uppercut: A super high-end, 12-seat dining experience featuring a 12-course, steak-centric chef's menu.

What they're saying: "We love our city, and we feel like our city deserves to have amazing restaurants, and we want to create that as long as people are interested," Pretty Decent Concepts co-owner Teddy Myers told The Arizona Republic in November.
