From backsplashes to barstools, celebrity interior designer Bobby Berk curated several finish and furniture collections for Waterston Central, a new-build community in Gilbert.

Why it matters: If you were in awe of the miracles Berk worked on "Queer Eye," now you can take advantage of his expertise.

What they're saying: It's all about "democratizing design," Berk told Axios.

  • He says that newly built communities have a stigma of being soulless, but all homes — even the storied historic ones — started as new.
  • Berk started working with Tri Pointe Homes to share his expert touch across the country at a more accessible price point than a custom design.

How it works: There are 10 themed packages to choose from, including serene Scandinavian, transitional farmhouse and organic modern — all curated by Berk.

  • Everything — from lighting to countertops to wall colors — is included in your finish package, and you can add furniture, home accessories and artwork curated specifically for that collection, too.

Zoom in: Homes in Waterston Central, near Ocotillo Road and Val Vista Drive, sell in the $550,000-$850,000 range.

  • Berk was in the Valley Friday to unveil five of the new model homes he designed and merchandised.

Pro tip: If you're not in the market for a new house, you can still shop Berk's collections online for your home improvement projects.
