After the Halloween sun sets, prepare yourself for the scariest thing of all — the end of daylight saving time.
Why it matters: This coming Sunday marks the start of much earlier sunsets across most of the U.S.
🌇 Heads up trick-or-treaters: Sunset time is around 5:59pm in the Philly region on Halloween.
Yes, but: Sunset doesn't mean immediate darkness.
Twilight typically provides another 20-40 minutes of natural light.
The other side: The waning gibbous Halloween moon won't rise until later in the evening in much of the U.S., leaving most would-be vampires without much moonlight.
📌 What's next: Clocks fall back an hour at 2am on Sunday.
By the end of November, the sun will set around 4:36pm.
