South Philly Barbacoa has set up an outpost at Triple Bottom Brewing.
Why it matters: Award-winning chef Christina Martinez is expanding her culinary empire.
State of play: The Spring Garden brewery began serving up a slimmed-down menu of Martinez's this month that features her signature tacos with freshly made corn tortillas.
🥇 Mike's favorite thing: Don't sleep on the self-serve topping station, where you can spice up your order with a variety of salsas, onions, cilantro and pickled veggies.
On the menu:
- 🌮 Tacos: Barbacoa (lamb), tinga (shredded chicken), carnitas (pork), pancita (lamb) and veggies ($7 each)
- 🥑 Sides: Chips and guacamole ($10), esquites ($10) and sweet tamales ($7).
If you go: The taproom is open Wednesday-Friday from 3-10pm, Saturday from noon-10pm and Sunday from noon-7pm.
