Wawa's future with Philly's July Fourth concert remains unclear

Catch up quick: This year, Parker recast Welcome America's July 4 finale under her "One Philly" slogan, making it a city-run production and severing it from Wawa's official Welcome America schedule.

What they're saying: The Parker administration declined to answer Axios' questions about if this year's split from Welcome America is a one-time change or a permanent shift.

Wawa spokesperson Lori Bruce declined to say whether Wawa will sponsor Welcome America going forward or reclaim producing the Fourth of July event.
