These Pennsylvanians will compete in the Winter Olympics

State of play: Seven athletes from the Keystone State, mostly Olympic first-timers, will compete in a range of sports.

• That includes curler Taylor Anderson-Heide, from Broomall.
• The 30-year-old and Philly native is a five-time national champion and an Olympics first-timer.

Plus: Three Maryland athletes have qualified for the games, along with seven from New Jersey.

• Sorry, Delaware: No athletes from the First State are headed to the Games.

• At 29 years old, this first-time Olympian is a senior airman in the U.S. Air Force when she's not on the ice.

Ava McNaughton

• Ice hockey; Seven Fields
• The 21-year-old goaltender is competing in her first Olympics.

Vincent Trocheck

• Ice hockey; Pittsburgh
• The 32-year-old forward will seek gold at his first Olympics.
