Philly goes big with Instagram-worthy holiday attractions

• Plus, the Philadelphia Zoo is debuting a ginormous, 100-foot "Pherris" Wheel for its holiday lights show, LumiNature — because adding "PH" onto everything is the latest Philly special.

By the numbers: Philly's rotating pyramid in Center City will have 3,000 lights.

• And the "Pherris" Wheel's gondolas can fit up to six people inside for a roughly seven-minute ride.

Context: The German pyramid is an art form is believed to date back to the 16th century, with the carousel-like towers growing more elaborate and decorative since their first wooden itineration.

What we're watching: The Christmas Village opens on Thanksgiving and runs through Christmas Eve.
