Chinese Lantern Festival returns to Philadelphia

A 200-foot dragon lantern is lighting up Franklin Square for the summer.

Why it matters: That means the Chinese Lantern Festival is back through Aug. 31.

🏮 What to expect: More than 1,100 light installations throughout the Center City square, depicting everything from giant pandas to the Chinese Zodiac.

Plus: Live performances, a fountain light show, mini-golf and carousel rides.
Hours: 6-11pm daily; closed July 4.

🎟 Tickets: $27+ for adults and kids 14 and up.

$16 for children 3-13
$25+ for seniors
