Philly spraygrounds open for Memorial Day weekend

State of play: Roughly half of Philly's 112 splash pads and water features are turning on via automatic timers starting today, per a city spokesperson.

• The remaining spraygrounds, which are manually operated, will be switched on May 30.
• City pools won't start opening until June 13.

Zoom in: The spraygrounds will run seven days a week for set hours all summer.
