A hip French restaurant is coming to East Kensington

Driving the news: The restaurant — from Josh Mann, Graham Gernsheimer and chef George Sabatino, who have a combined six decades of experience — is opening this spring in a 19th-century building that once housed Fluehr's Furniture. The two-story joint will have 130 seats.

• It's part of a project that also includes a six-room boutique hotel, event space and rooftop bar.
• The first floor opens in the spring but the rest won't open until later this year.

What they're saying: "We will be building the menu around what's available at nearby farms," Sabatino said in a statement.

• Offerings will include signature dishes, plus rotating entrees that "represent the six growing seasons" in the Philly region.

What's ahead: Earn bragging rights by getting a first taste of the new restaurant's menu on April 19 at Citrine Studio.

• The BYOB, five-course dinner has two seatings: 5:30 and 8pm.
