DoorDash drivers earn big bucks during Super Bowl

The Eagles' Super Bowl win was a big coup for Philadelphia's DoorDash drivers.

Why it matters: Super Bowl spending on food and drinks was expected to reach a record-high of $18.6 billion this year, per the National Retail Federation.

By the numbers: Philly Dashers earned more than $390,000 for Super Bowl LIX, per DoorDash data shared exclusively with Axios.

That's up from $280,000 last year when the Birds weren't playing in the big game.

Zoom out: Super Bowl Dashers across the U.S. collectively earned more than $50 million this year, up from $43 million in 2024.
