If you're looking for the gateway to the galaxy, Astra Lumina will have you starstruck.
Why it matters: Every star is unique, and this interactive light show shines brightest in the constellation of the Philly area's immersive holiday experiences.
The big picture: The award-winning night walk from Moment Factory opened in November at the Abington Art Center in Jenkintown and runs through January.
- It has toured a few cities, attracting about 1 million visitors since debuting in Gatlinburg, Tennessee, in 2022.

What to expect: Embark on a starlit path to visit nine outdoor exhibits, each offering a unique cascade of colorful lights and lasers.
- The walk takes about an hour, but some of the experiences will warp your sense of time — in a good way.
Case in point: Get lost in an astral disco ball, which thrums with a harmonious heartbeat, and a whimsical wormhole.
1 cool thing: The Celestial Trail feels a bit like you're crossing the Marigold Bridge in Disney's "Coco."
- Each twinkling light feels like a soul, and then you're enveloped by a bursting wall of light that washes over you, making you feel connected to the universe.
Pro tip: Dress warmly and grab hot cocoa and snacks (roasted almonds are the best) at the welcome area before venturing out.
