The cut to join Pennsylvania's one-percenters is now $705,000.
State of play: The Keystone State's 1-percent threshold is lower than the national average of nearly $800,000, per IRS data.
Just over 59,000 Pennsylvania residents made that 1% threshold.
Meanwhile, in New Jersey, the threshold is $988,090.
And in Delaware, it's $626,377.
How it works: These figures are based on adjusted gross income (AGI) reported on tax filings in the 2021 tax year, adjusted to 2024 dollars.
Zoom out: The hardest place to make the 1% club the U.S. is Washington, D.C., at $1.2 million.
But the minimum floor to make that elite club among states is Connecticut at $1.16 million, followed by Massachusetts ($1.12 million) and California ($1 million).
