Miles Teller lookalike contest coming to Philadelphia

• The homespun events have drawn big crowds in other major cities like NYC (Timothée Chalamet) and Chicago (Jeremy Allen White).

Why it matters: "It just seems like so much fun," co-organizer Gabi Greco, a Drexel University student, tells Axios.

• "At the end of the day, people just want to get together and laugh and have fun."

Driving the news: The free contest kicks off at Rittenhouse Square on Sunday at 1pm.

• Grecko and her friend Helene Chibane, a Thomas Jefferson University student, are spreading the word about the contest on Reddit and social media.
• The winner is slated to receive a cheesesteak with whiz from Angelo's Pizzeria South Philly.

What to expect: Teller, 37, is known for his roles in "Whiplash," "Top Gun: Maverick," "The Spectacular Now," and "Fantastic Four."

• So count on plenty of lampshade mustaches, drumsticks and wavy hair styles.

The intrigue: While Chalamet crashed his own lookalike contest last month in NYC, Greco doesn't expect Teller to make an appearance this weekend.

• But she added, "Never say never."
