OpenTable puts 13 Philadelphia restaurants on its Icons list

OpenTable has named 13 Philadelphia restaurants to its newly created Icons list.

Why it matters: The online booking platform's designation is a go-to guide for "it" restaurants in more than 20 cities across the U.S. and Canada.

How it works: OpenTable designates the iconic status based on criteria including accolades like Michelin stars and James Beard awards; positive reviews; celebrated chefs; and diner interest.

State of play: Philly's Icons list includes Parc in Rittenhouse, HoneySuckle Provisions in West Philly, Bastia in Fishtown, and Casa Mexico in South Philly.
