The 76ers are finally paying homage to star baller Allen Iverson with a sculpture — but you have to cross the Delaware River to see it.

Why it matters: He was "The Answer" to Philly's prayers during his heyday and remains as popular as ever.

Driving the news: The team will add Iverson's monument to its "Legends Walk" outside its practice facility in Camden.

  • A.I.'s sculpture will be the 10th along the walkway, joining fellow legends Wilt Chamberlain, Julius Erving and Charles Barkley.

The fine print: The monument ceremony isn't open to the public, Sixers spokesperson Molly Mita McEndy tells Axios.

Zoom in: Iverson played 11 seasons with the Sixers, winning league MVP in 2001, the same year he led the team to the NBA Finals.

What's next: Iverson will attend Sunday's Sixers home game against the Brooklyn Nets at the Wells Fargo Center.

  • The team will host a special celebration before tipoff.
