Willie Nelson is bringing his star-studded 4th of July Picnic to the Philadelphia region this year.

Why it matters: 2024 will be the first time the annual concert comes to the Northeast.

Driving the news: Headliners for the mega-concert include Bob Dylan, Robert Plant & Alison Krauss and Mavis Staples.

  • It will be held at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion, an open-air amphitheater in Camden, New Jersey.

Between the lines: The concert has rarely happened outside Nelson's native Texas since it started in 1973. Most recently it went to Indiana in 2009.
