Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and journalist Norah O'Donnell will headline the Building Bridges series this fall, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art said Wednesday.

Why it matters: The events continue a civic dialogue series that has brought former President Barack Obama, filmmaker Ken Burns and Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett to Bentonville.

Zoom in: Rice, the first Black woman to serve as secretary of state, will discuss democracy, leadership and civic engagement at 1:30pm Sept. 30 in the museum's Great Hall.

Rice now directs Stanford University's Hoover Institution and teaches at its business school.
She is part-owner of the Denver Broncos as part of the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group.

O'Donnell, a "60 Minutes" correspondent and former "CBS Evening News" anchor and managing editor, will discuss her book, "We the Women: Hidden Heroes Who Shaped America," 6pm Nov. 17 at Heartland Whole Health Institute in Bentonville.
