Back-to-school season is upon us, and that means Arkansas' annual tax-free weekend is, too.
How it works: Many items commonly purchased during back-to-school season like clothing, shoes, some electronics, art supplies and school supplies will be exempt from state and local taxes from 12:01am Saturday to 11:59pm Sunday.
Between the lines: Tax-free weekend gives parents of schoolchildren a break, but it goes for anyone shopping this weekend.
