🍝 Alex checked out Zelli Pasta as take-it-home-and-cook-it-yourself, but they've since started serving sandwiches, which is more my style.

The setup: Downtown Springdale may soon become my fave lunchtime location — there are tons of options, it's easy for me to get to, and the crowds aren't yet insane (if you can find a parking spot!).

🥖 Best bites: There are eight sandwiches on the Zelli Deli menu. Pasta, salad and daily pasta options coming soon.

The prosciutto and fig ($14) caught my eye and got a nod from the staff.
It's built on a crusty baguette with plenty of aged prosciutto di Parma, fig jam, local micro-greens and brie.

👍 The verdict: This gem seemed to defy physics because it was simultaneously salty and sweet while also crunchy and creamy.

Texture and taste? Yes, I'll eat it again. And again.

The vibe: This is a deli, so the sandwich was wrapped in paper and served on a paper plate.

A bag of chips is included, making this the perfect lunch to take for a picnic at nearby Luther George Park.

📍 Stop by: Zelli at 111 S. Main St., Suite A in Springdale. Serves 10am–5pm Monday–Saturday, but the shop is open until 6pm.
