Monday Munchies: Son's Cuisine food truck in Rogers

I recently made my way to Son's Cuisine, a food truck serving up various Asian dishes

🤤 What to try: The lumpia ($7 for four pieces), a thin fried spring roll common in Filipino cuisine, is mandatory. It's full of delicious ground pork and great for dipping in some chile sauce.

Fried rice is typically not my favorite thing to eat, but I really enjoyed the chicken fried rice ($14) here and would order it again. It wasn't too greasy, and they didn't skimp on veggies or chicken.
The pork banh mi ($9) was solid, but not the star of the show.

🍻 The vibe: Son's Cuisine is at City Pump in downtown Rogers, which is anchored by Botanical, a sports bar that's surrounded by several food trucks and picnic tables. So you and your group can each grab what you like and come together for a beer at Botanical or sit outside when it's warmer.

🤷‍♀️ And if they miss out the lumpia, more for you.

💰 By the numbers: The value here is excellent. The entire bill for the sandwich, fried rice and lumpia was under $40, including tax and tip. And my fellow diner and I couldn't even quite finish all the food.
