Three spots for pumpkin-picking and other fall fun

October isn't only for those who favor scary and spooky vibes. Here are a few places to keep in mind for pumpkin patches and other kid-friendly fall activities.

McGarrah Farms in Pea Ridge — Pick pumpkins, have a picnic or take a hay ride. Open 1-6pm Monday and Wednesday-Friday; 10am-6pm Saturday and noon to 6pm Sunday.

Farmland Adventures in Springdale — This place has a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, wagon rides and pony rides. Open 3-9pm Thursdays and Fridays and 9am-9pm Saturday during October. Get tickets for $16.50.

Rivercrest Orchard in Fayetteville — It's fall festival season at the orchard with a pumpkin patch, ziplines, sunflower fields and barnyard play. Get tickets starting at $16.95.
