What he said: "Thankfully, there were no physical injuries, but it was certainly a harrowing experience for everyone on campus as well as for our families and friends," Robinson wrote.

• "I recognize that yesterday's events may affect individuals in different ways. With that in mind, counseling services through CAPS (Counseling and Psychological Services) in the Pat Walker Health Center are available to students, faculty and staff, including additional drop-in hours across campus."
• Robinson urged anyone seeking counseling to start with the CAPS website.

State of play: Robison said UAPD was flooded with more than 340 phone calls alleging the events at seven UA buildings, starting at 12:24pm

• "The call, which we now know was an elaborate hoax, included sounds of gunfire," Robinson wrote.
• The first RazALERT message — UA's text alert — was sent campus-wide at 12:27pm.

Context: RazALERTs are sent to all campus landlines and email addresses, and to personal cell phones if they're registered with the university.

Robinson also suggested the campus community download the SafeZone app to connect directly to UAPD and share the user's location in an emergency.

The bottom line: "I'm encouraged by the way our campus community responded to this situation and how I know we will continue to support each other. We will use these events to learn how to make our campus safer in the future."
