It was only a matter of time before downtown Springdale got a cocktail bar where I have to Google stuff on the menu.
🏒 State of play: The Blind Bear is one of the latest in a string of new businesses and developments along Emma Avenue. It's dark and trendy with lounge seating — the works. And there's even skee-ball to play between drinks.
🥃 What to try: The Roswell ($12) with bourbon, Averna Amaro liqueur, ginger liqueur and walnut bitters is a little caramel-flavored and a nice slow sipper if you want something a tad sweet.
- A more controversial choice is the Black Night Satellite ($12) with black truffle-infused gin, elderflower and orange bitters. It's served smoking, and even as the smoke dies down, the scent is strong as you go to take a sip. But it's a really unique flavor profile for those who want something new.
