Your weekend plans: Fairies, film and a market

Make it a nice weekend, NWA.

🧚 Have a whimsical evening — Take the kids to the Firefly Fling for a laser light show, live music, face painting and other activities at this event where everyone is encouraged to dress up like fairies or other magical creatures. 5-9:30pm Saturday at the Botanical Gardens of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. Get tickets ranging $15-$30.

🎬 See a new film — The Momentary in Bentonville will host a screening of "Unveiled: Daisy Bates and Johnny Cash," a documentary on the civil rights leader and musician, both from Arkansas. 4pm Sunday. Free.

🛍 Shop local — NWA Makers will have a pop-up market with goods from more than 60 vendors from 10am-5pm Saturday in front of Dave and Busters and Malco Cinemas at the Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers.
