Fayetteville's old Hi-Way Inn Motel property on College Avenue has welcomed a new music-themed bar.
🎶 How it works: You'll find menus centered around specific albums plus classic cocktails at Sidecar Cocktail Lounge.
- Right now, Fleetwood Mac's "Rumors" and Outkast's "Stankonia" have their own menus with drink options that'll have you hearing "Dreams" and "Ms. Jackson" in your head.
- I'm sorry, Ms. Jackson, I am for real, I sang in my head involuntarily.
😎 The vibe: The space, which sits under Cafe Rue Orleans, is super fun. The decor is mostly eclectic nods to music and pop culture.
- It's very much a Fayetteville high end, young-vibe cocktail bar.
🍸 What to try: For something on the sweet side, sip on the Gold Dust Woman ($13) with tequila, apricot liqueur, lemon juice and vanilla honey syrup. Or for more bitter, the Go Your Own Way ($15) with bourbon, lemon juice, passionfruit syrup, grenadine and bitters.
- A sidecar isn't my classic cocktail of choice, but I felt that if I'm going to order one, I may as well do it in a bar named Sidecar. I might be a fan now.
