One of the best rounds of beers I've had in a while was in a space that felt more like a calming tea room where I want to read a book than a place to knock a few back. Finally, these worlds meet.
💐 The vibe: In contrast to the trendy industrial feel of breweries these days, the smells of scented candles at terracotta in Bentonville hit you the second you walk in. It's decorated with florals and, of course, a terra cotta color scheme.
- It doubles as a boutique selling small items like mugs. Sit at the bar or on a couch.
🍻 Yes, but: The beer is not masquerading as anything but good craft beer for people who like good craft beer.
What to try: I tried an IPA, a sour and a stout and can confirm terracotta is a jack of all trades, or at least, all beers.
- The Dogwood vanilla stout ($8) isn't too heavy or too light for a stout and is a must-try for people who like a dark slow sipper. The mixed berry flavor in the Zinnia ($6) sour comes through nicely for those who want something a little fruity.
🌪 Flashback: The space is the work of Greenhouse Aleworks after the business's downtown Rogers building was lost in last year's Memorial Day weekend tornadoes. We should all be glad it wasn't the end for this local brewery.
