The Agenda: Fayetteville affordable housing, street improvements

• Accepting an additional $1 million from the University of Arkansas for Maple Street improvements like upgraded traffic signals and a buffer between the cycle track and the roadway. The university is contributing $2.25 million to the project, with the federal government funding $7.5 million and the city covering the rest.
• Accepting a $15,000 grant from the National League of Cities to help develop the city's economic strategy for affordable housing solutions.
• Discontinuing the city health officer position that was reestablished in 2020 in reaction to the pandemic. The officer has already resigned.
